STEP 1: Prepare the Materials

Set all the flower supplies and materials for easy access. Make sure you have everything ready before you start assembling.

Separate smaller sprigs from the stalk, add wire stems and wrap with floral tape.

Do these with the rest of the fillers so you don’t have to stop midway to cut more fillers or greenery.

Stem all the flowers you need. You can shorten the length as needed.

STEP 3: Start Building the Crown

Get your focal flower and position it midway. Wire it through the crown frame and cover it with floral tape.

Work your way down the frame putting all the needed flowers and fillers. Once you are finished, do the same to the other half.

Add fillers to the base and surrounding the flower. This will add volume as well as additional support to the bloom.

Continue adding more flowers alternating orange and ivory colors with fillers in between.

Secure each layer with floral tape.

Make sure that there’s some variation in size and flower type throughout the crown while keeping it balanced.

Cover both ends with fillers, giving the crown a finished look.

STEP 4: Create the Ribbon Loop

Choose ribbons that coordinate with the crown colors to tie onto the back. We are using ivory and gold satin ribbons to match the fall-colored flowers.

Slip them through the loops, 2 strands of ribbons on each end of the crown.

The use of a ribbon makes the crown one-size-fits-all. Tighten or loosen the ribbon to fit the head.

STEP 5: Wear The Crown

And you are done! To wear the floral crown, simply place it around the head and tie the ribbons.
